The Q-Morning Crew from 94.7FM- Mike Wheless, Janie Carothers, Marty Young and Mike Railey - made an appearance at the McDonald's on Timber Drive Friday, July 16 for an annual fundraiser for the UNC Children's Hospital.
The Q-Morning Crew was in town to promote their campain "QDR Quarters for the Kids," which raises money for the children's hospital.
For many years now, Garner and other local communities have challenged each other to take first place in the amount of money raised. Garner has taken top honors and the first place designation until last year when the Knightdale outraised Garner in donations.
this year, Garner raised $4,386.80. Youngsville has raised $1,700. The morning show crew is still doing the tour, so there is no word on what any other communities have raised.
At the fundraiser, Mayor Ronnie Williams, Mis Garner Brianna Tracy, local singer Scotty McCreery and others were on hand.
