Annual Meeting & Awards Gala

The Annual Banquet celebrates the year's successes, announces the focus of the coming year and features the installation of the Chair of the Board of Directors. A highlight of the event is the presentation of the annual Summit Awards, honoring the best in business. This is an upscale evening with a reception and dinner. Expected attendance is 200 business leaders and elected officials. Admission to the event is by advanced registration and ticket purchase.

CONNECT Conference

August

Well attended by Chamber members, business leaders and elected officials, this half-day economic development conference is a priority event for many businesses. Network and strategize, or really make a statement by sponsoring the conference. Admission to the event is by advanced registration and ticket purchase.

Broadway Voices

Three concerts each year, featuring one of Broadway's biggest stars in a one-night only concert event
Garner Performing Arts Center

The Chamber partners with GPAC and the town of Garner to bring world-class talent to the Triangle at a fraction of the price of seeing these stars on Broadway.

This is the premier networking event for local business people, giving individuals the opportunity to make new business connections in an informal atmosphere, with light refreshments. Expected attendance is 50 - 125. Attendees do not pay for admission to this event.

Business Exchange Breakfast

Monthly, typically the second Wednesday
7:30 am - 9:00 am

Sponsor program and networking with full breakfast. The sponsor chooses the location. After the program, attendees have the opportunity to present to the group a 30-second commercial about their business.

Expected attendance is 60-95.

Elected Officials Reception

Not an annual event - typically offered in alternating years

The Chamber hosts this reception to thank elected officials, including mayors of all Wake County municipalities, Garner Town Council, Wake County Board of Commissioners, Wake County Board of Education, state legislative delegations, and the area's congressional delegation. Expected attendance is 100 - 150. Tickets to attend the reception may be purchased from the Chamber.

Golf Tournament

May or June

The Chamber golf tournament is an excellent place to network with the area's top decision makers.
Golf packages include lunch, cart and green fees, complimentary beverages and snacks, and dinner at the awards reception.

Chamber 411 Breakfast

Quarterly Breakfast Meeting

Get a Chamber update and learn about Chamber member benefits at this quarterly breakfast event. This event is for all Chamber members, both new and existing members. Each attendee has the opportunity to present a 30-second commercial about their business to the group.
Expected attendance is 30. There is no charge for admission to the orientation breakfast, but registration is required

Notary Public Classes

Garner Chamber of Commerce
January, April & September
9:00 am - 5:00 pm

In a partnership with Wake Technical Community College, the Chamber offers a notary public class periodically during the year. The full-day course offers an understanding of the qualifications and requirements to practice as a notary public in North Carolina. Participants take an exam at the end of the class and complete the application for becoming a notary public. Participants pay for the training. Registration fee is discounted for Chamber members.

Reverse Raffle/Auction/Taste of the Town

March

The Reverse Raffle is the Chamber's largest source of non-dues revenue. The event draws several hundred business people, elected officials and community leaders. They attend for the chance to win $10,000; to enjoy good food, beverages; and to bid for deals at the auction - while supporting the Chamber!

Women in Business

The Women in Business luncheon features renowned regional and national speakers. Expected attendance is 200. Admission to event is by advanced registration and ticket purchase.
